ROY -- For a few moments, a meeting at Our Savior's Lutheran Church erupted into arguments about whether the Bible makes allowances for modern science or for gay relationships.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Roy is considering changing affiliation after a vote by Evangelical Lutheran Churches of America to allow practicing gay and lesbian pastors who are openly in committed relationship to preside over congregations.

The Clothing Cottage runs on love -- not only the love of the people who founded it, but also the love of the community that helps keep it going, said Vickie Dawson.
