(Courtesy photo) William M. Johnson (seen in above photo) painted murals in Lehi and was a newspaper artist in Salt Lake City and, later, in California. While serving in the Army during World War II, he used postcards to sketch scenes from his experiences. He mailed them to his father, William Wallace Johnson, who hung them in his Union Station barbershop. The postcards seen here, as well as others, may be coming back to Ogden.

Ogden students enjoy the Music Makes Music cause

(MATTHEW HATFIELD/Standard-Examiner) Going Second plays at Mound Fort Junior High School in Ogden on Tuesday. The concert is produced by Music Makes Music, an organization that works to increase exposure to music and the arts in public schools.
